The Nokia 1661 is a reliable, practical and user-friendly phone designed to make it easy for you to stay connected to those closest to you.

Presented in a slim line and surprisingly solid case, the 1661 is thin and funky. The handset is edged by a transparent red border that won't suit everyone's taste but definitely sets this Nokia handset apart.
 
The Nokia 1661's large TFT display lets you view messages and applications clearly. The user interface is, with all Nokia's very user friendly and the large screen size means that the grid menu layout is in its element. The key pad is slightly on the small side if you are blessed with large fingers, but each key is separated by raised lines making it easier to call and text. Navigation is made easy using a 4-way navigational pad.

While this basic Nokia handset is without MMS or e-mail capabilities, it does provide you with plenty of functions to keep you happy.  SMS with predictive text is of course present, as well as an FM radio for listening to your favourite radio stations whilst on the move. The Nokia 1661 also has a pile of personal information manager extras including an alarm clock, converter, timer, calendar, spreadsheet and reminders.

Other functions include an inbuilt speakerphone, a flashlight and the ability to make your own polyphonic ringtone. The Nokia 1661 might not be the flashiest handset around, but it is a great option for those searching for a user-friendly and reliable handset.
