The Nokia Lumia 800's kid sister, the Nokia Lumia 710 is a great smartphone for beginners, teenagers, and seniors. As an introduction to how smartphones work, it is simplistic and easy to use, running the great Windows Phone 7.5 OS.

It's not a cutting edge phone in terms of specs, and the internal memory is limited, but the Lumia 710 nevertheless operates quickly and smoothly. The removable battery means you can carry a spare in your bag in case of emergencies, and the integration with Xbox Live is a fun addition, along with the back covers which can be swapped with a range of colours.
