The LG Cookie KP500 is as tasty as it sounds, with a yummy looking touch screen, curved shape and optional lolly-like colour scheme all on one snack-sized mobile phone. Though small, the Cookie KP500 still has a large 3-inch touch screen and heaps of useful functions, like a 3 Megapixel camera with video recording.
The touch screen display reacts well to finger clicks and swipes, but you also have the option of an extendable stylus (a small touch pointer stick) if your fingers get tired. An auto-rotate function means no matter which way you hold the phone things are going to look good in either landscape or portrait views. There’s also a motion sensor you can shake and turn the handset with to control the action on-screen in a range of fun games.
The LG Cookie KP500 comes with two different customisable homepages, each having their own choice of useful applications and widgets. Using these you can instantly find your contacts, email, photos and social networking sites like Facebook. To swap between the different homepages all you need to do is swipe your finger over the touch screen in a sideways direction.
This Cookie comes with a mini speed dial box on one of the homepages that lets you call eight different friends instantaneously. The address book has enough room for another 1,000 contacts, so you’ll never be short of people to call.
LG’s integrated music player plays several different kinds of music files on the Cookie KP500, and it’s easy to search through when looking for specific songs to listen to. To transfer music over to your mobile just connect a USB cable and it will automatically synchronise with your PC’s Windows Media Player.
Mix in an MP4 video player, Bluetooth and a cool organiser into the cookie dough, and the sweet little LG Cookie KP500 becomes one of the best value for money touch screen mobile phones on the market today.
