There are a number of mobile carriers which are offering their post-paid customers unlimited access to facebook, Twitter, eBay, MySpace and foursquare from their mobile phone.
The offer is of course only valid when you view the sites from within Australia, and requires a handset which allows you to access the sites. If you access any external websites even when following a link from one of the pages listed above, standard data charges will apply.
Mobile providers who are offering the deal include Vodafone, 3, Optus, Dodo and iPrimus.
Customers who are eligible for the new deal include Vodafone customers who are on a post-paid cap or one of their infinite plans; Dodo’s social cap plan customers; iPrimus social cap customers; all of Optus’ post-paid customers; and all of 3’s post-paid customers who are on an unbundled mobile cap.
Mobile carriers continue to raise the stakes with larger talk and text caps and huge amounts of included data (but usually with high excess data fees). Carriers such as Vodafone have introduced ‘infinite plans’ for as low as $45 per month. Customers should still be aware of exclusions such as international dialling, roaming and retrieving voicemails.
