A rugged handset with plenty of features, the Nokia 3720 is great for those who work and play outdoors.

As is standard for these kinds of tough phones, the Nokia 3720 is IP-54 certified. This means that it is leak-proof, shock-resistant and sealed against dust. This handset is made of durable material and is edged with stainless steel, and the battery cover is screwed in so that nothing can get into your battery or inner electrical. The 3720 is undeniably rugged, and yet it looks surprisingly stylish. The curved metal edges make the handset look smooth and sophisticated, in comparison to other tough phones with look a bit like rubber bricks.  

The keypad is well laid out. Each number button is separate and the navigational pad is a good size.  The screen is also a good size at 2.2 inches and provides a bright and clear display. This display quality is optimised by Nokia Maps, a great navigational program which comes with the 3720 on a pre-loaded 1GB microSD card. Also included is Ovi Share, so you can share your media files with friends and other devices.

Added extras include a 2-megapixel camera with an LED flash which also doubles as a torch. Bluetooth, email and MMS capability ensure that you can keep in touch with the Nokia 3720. While the microSD card slot supports up to 8GB of additional memory, the lack of 3.5mm headphone jack might make you rethink filling it up with pumping tunes. Despite this, the 3720 offers a durable and reliable option for keeping in touch.
