Nokia 5730 Review
The Nokia 5730 XpressMusic brings you all the advantages of a modern handset, including Internet access, Google Maps, GPS, instant messaging, a Facebook application, 3G connectivity, and a 3.2-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics. It comes in a hip glossy black and red casing. The keypad and navigation wheel are standard, and there’s shuffle buttons on the side for playing, stopping and skipping music.
The Nokia 5730 XpressMusic slides sideways to uncover a QWERTY keyboard. Despite the buttons being well lit and adequately spaced apart, the texture of the keys can make them difficult to feel at times, and the keyboard can cause your thumb to feel cramped.
The ‘noise cancelling headphones’ that are included in the box, produce a clear and crisp sound. The Nokia 5730 also has a standard 3.5mm headphone jack, so you can choose to use other headphones if necessary. There’s also an easy to navigate FM radio, and access to Nokia’s music store.
Other features included on the Nokia 5730 XpressMusic are GPS, AccuWeather.com, RealPlayer, Podcasting, a voice recorder and a Facebook application. Considering how many features are packed into the phone, the battery life is admirable, and neither performance nor size is compromised.
The Nokia 5730 XpressMusic is a good choice for those who are looking for a simple-to-use and sturdy 3G phone with superb music capabilities.
