This Nokia handset looks a bit like a mobile phone that Batman would use. Black and chic, with a good quality build and metal trimmings, the Nokia 6260 is understated, yet very powerful.
A member of the Nokia’s Series 40 range, the Nokia 6260 boasts a sophisticated and yet familiar user interface that is intuitive and good looking. Scrolling through the menus is easy thanks to Nokia's trusty keypad layout-a five way navigation pad, selecting and calling buttons, and well sized number keys.
Connection is a real strong point with the Nokia 6260. The Finnish communication giants have included AGPS in the 6260 Slide, allowing the Series 40 software to flex its muscles and allowing you to figure out where you are quickly and easily. Nokia maps is preloaded to assist this. You can also stay connected with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and quickly upload and share photos and videos on Nokia’s HSDPA/HSUPA data based Ovi service.
The 6260 includes an excellent 5 megapixel camera with a Carl Zeiss lens and a flash that outperforms those on similar phones. Nokia have also sprung for a microSD storage card slot, enabling you to store extra photos and other data. Other fun features include a tri-band UMTS radio, a decent web browser and an inbuilt music player. There is no 3.5mm headphone jack unfortunately, but Bruce Wayne would still be impressed.
