The Nokia 6720 is a classic Nokia handset: stylish, compact, reliable and packed with features.
Looking at the Nokia 6720 for the first time however, you would be forgiven for thinking that it was not a Nokia handset. While some other models from the Finnish communication giants look bland and a bit dull, the 6720 is stylish and chic. It has a warm brown finish which adds to the unique and undeniably classy look of this phone. The Nokia body has also had some work, and the 6720 now curves to sit better on your face when you are calling someone.
Clever designing extends to the controls of the 6720 as well. The keys are well laid out and boast superior tactility. The navigational pad is a bit on the small side but looks great, and all buttons emit a satisfying clicking sound when you press them. The operating system on this handset is the Symbian S60 and will be familiar to Nokia users. As ever, it is smooth to manage, with easy transition between menus and no lag for everyday navigation.
Speaking of navigation, the Nokia 6720 has a built-in GPS supported by Nokia Maps. This application does cost, but once you get an initial GPS fix (which requires a data connection) the 6720 is quick to find and keep a signal. Perhaps not perfect for driving due to the smaller screen size, but for everyday figuring out where you are, the Nokia 6720 has you covered.
Other features include a 5 megapixel camera with an LED flash, 3G HSDPA capability, an FM radio, a built-in media player and Bluetooth with A2DP. There is also a micro USB port and a microSD card slot with an included 1GB card for storing and transferring files. This increased storage is great as Nokia have put a 3.5mm headphone jack on the 6720. You can therefore listen to your tunes using your regular headphones.
One last point to note with the Nokia 6720 is that Telstra has given it a BlueTick rating, meaning it is recommended for use in rural and regional Australia. The 6720 is perfect for those in the country who would like an extra touch of style.
