Sony has unveiled the Xperia arc S at IFA, which will be available to customers in October. The smartphone is the newest member of the Xperia range, and builds upon the success of its predecessor, the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc.
The Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc features a 1.4GHz processor, which is believed to make the camera start 25% faster and the webpage rendering 20% quicker. The camera is an impressive 8.1-megapixels, which is sure to capture sharper images than many other smartphones on the market. The Xperia arc S also has HD video capabilities, and a 4.2-inch Reality Display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine. The Exmor R sensor includes a "3D sweep panorama" function, which means you can take 2D images and convert them into 3D.
Sony Ericsson head of product marketing Nikolaus Scheurer said: “The Xperia Arc S is the fastest and most entertaining Xperia to date and it clearly demonstrates how the Xperia family are the best smartphones to experience great entertainment services such as Music Unlimited and Video Unlimited.”
