Sporting giant keys and a trendy design, the LG KF300 is stylish and joyfully simple to use, proving that big is beautiful.
The LG flip phones are generally pretty gorgeous, and the KF300 is no exception. The face is shiny, with metallic edgings and a slick external display which is hidden unless it is showing something. Opening the handset unveils one of the largest keypads on the market; flat, plastic keys with great tactility. The KF300 is a gift for anyone who has stubby fingers or who has been infuriated in the past by miniscule keypads. The rest of the keys, including a five-way navigational pad, clear keys, camera button and call buttons are also huge.
In addition to this well sized family of controls, the LG KF300 also has a row of shortcut keys below the screen. One sends you to the alarm function, one to write a new message and one to your calendar. The fourth key opens, of all things, a wine menu; this feature, which is presumably a hangover from the LG KF300 Wine (the Korean version of this handset), includes a wine search, a wine map and a wine dictionary. Why would you have this feature on a mobile phone? I hear you ask. Well, why not?
The user interface on the LG KF300 is set out clearly and intuitively. If you can’t get enough of the big is beautiful aesthetics, then the KF300 gives you the option of changing your text size to large, extra large and ever super large! Even your text messages will respond to the text change. The audio on this LG handset is loud and proud, both in terms of call quality and ring tones.
Extras of the KF300 include a 2-megapixel camera with video recording capabilities, Bluetooth A2DP, a built in MP3 player and FM radio and a voice recorder. There is also a microSD card slot to increase the storage, making the KF300 even bigger.
