From tomorrow, Telstra’s post-paid Caps and Ultimate Plans will include a larger amount of included value to use toward mobile calls and text messages. Mobile phone plan shoppers will also notice Telstra are including data in each of their updated plans, whereas previously only the Ultimate plans included a data allowance. The Cap plans include anywhere between 200MB to 1,000MB of data, while the Ultimate II Plans include between 30MB to 1,000MB of data.
Consumers will find a new $49 Cap with $400 of included value for standard calls and text messages. The new Cap also includes a decent 200MB of data. The existing $79 Cap will provide $750 worth of calls and SMS messages, while the $129 Cap will provide $1500 worth of calls and text messages. These caps include a 500MB and 1,000MB of data allowance respectively.
While Telstra’s plans may not be as competitive as other providers, such as 3Mobile or Virgin Mobile, Telstra are able to provide their customers with greater coverage across Australia.
