New Phones
Two new phones on the website this week! Check out the game-changing HTC Velocity 4G and Samsung Omnia W I8350, and read our reviews here and here. Both phones are only available on Telstra for the moment, so it might be that you want to wait for a cheaper plan to buy.
Feature Plans
Optus have updated some of their plans at great prices! We love the idea of snatching up the Nokia N9 for $49/month with no extra cost for the phone; or their Apple iPhone 4S 16GB on a $69/month plan for only $6.
We'd also like to draw your attention this week to some old favourites:
For the contract shy, try out the TPG Post-Paid $39.99 Cap Saver (1300 106 571) for some great value without having to commit to a long contract.
If you're shopping with friends, why not try a deal that will get you cheap or free calls to one another? We recommend the Virgin Mobile Pre-Paid $49.99 (1300 768 103).
And if you're just not getting enough bang for your buck, face up to being a heavy user and try the Dodo Mobile Social Cap $49.90 (1300 136 793).
News
Vodafone proved keyed in to increasing concerns around smartphone security with their $3 a month Android protection plan.
Telstra won a lucrative deal to expand Western Australia's mobile coverage by around 22% - which combined with the NBN means that living in a rural or regional area should very soon be no excuse for poor connectivity.
And we all got just a little excited over Nokia's Lumia 800 launching in March, while the worldwide online community got keyed up about images of Blackberry's 'London' leaking online.
