The LG GB110 is a simple, no fuss candy bar handset that delivers communication functionality and several handy features in a sleek and very affordable package.
Smooth is the first word that comes to mind when describing the GB110. The handset is black, with rounded edges and corners, individual and slightly raised number keys and an ergonomically designed control panel. This panel includes shortcut keys to most of the GB110’s functions, including messaging, FM radio and camera. The number keys are well set out and provide excellent tactility. As well as being fine to use, the LG GB110 mobile phone is skinny and light, making it comfy to hold in your palm.
While the screen could be a bit bigger or higher in the resolution department, you can’t really complain considering its budget status. The user interface makes the best of the situation however with a simple grid layout that is natural to follow and use.
There are actually a surprising number of features packed into the GB110, the most exciting of which is an FM radio and music player. The FM radio includes an auto scan function and 12 presets and has an antennae built into the handset. This means that you don’t need to plug the headphones in to get reception, a trait that much more sophisticated mobile phones lack. There is also a microSD card slot hidden in the GB110 so you can boost your multimedia storage.
Other features include a VGA camera, some games, a calendar, world clock and a calendar.
