Whether you have a smartphone, or you spend all day on Facebook or YouTube, you may find that you’re using a large amount of data. There are mobile phone plans and browsing packages available for users who attempt to download the entire internet onto their mobile phone.
If you know you’ll be using your mobile phone for tethering, or if you spend a lot of time on the train watching YouTube clips, you could opt for one of the plans below:
Vodafone
$79 cap – 1GB
$99 Unlimited Cap – 1.5GB
$129 Unlimited Cap – 4GB
Large data packs: $19.95 for 1GB (or 2GB with a 12 month commitment period), and $39.95 for 3GB (or 6GB with a 12 month commitment period).
3 Mobile

Large data packs: $20 for 1GB (or 2GB with a 12 month commitment period), and $40 for 3GB (or 6GB with a 12 month commitment period).

Large data packs: The $59 Browsing Pack gives you 1GB, the $89 Browsing Pack gives you 5GB, or the $119 browsing pack gives you a massive 9GB to download. (Telstra refers to these packs as the ‘Mobile as Modem Browsing Packs’ i.e. tethering).
