The new Motorola  Dext and Backflip Android smartphones will be available in Australia in early April thanks to an exclusive deal between Optus and Motorola.

Optus mobile plans will offer plenty of social networking facilites including the ‘MOTOBLUR Happenings’ application that integrates Facebook, Twitter, Myspace and email applications into the one handset. As such, mobile phone customers will receive bonus data in their rate plans.

Optus customers will pay nothing for the Motorola Dext on a $49 Optus plan. This covers social networking applications and a bonus 500MB for surfing the web and downloads.

Optus is also offering the Motorola Backflip with 1GB of bonus data each month on a $59 Optus plan and 3GB each month on a $99 Optus plan.
