Telstra have continued with an overhaul of their mobile phone plans, this time revamping Telstra prepaid rates. Earlier this month Australia's largest telco released brand new post-paid browsing packs to please Telstra mobile customers, especially those affected by the HTC Desire GPS problems.
In the new prepaid mobile deals, Telstra is offering bonus SMS and voice calls for each recharge. On their website Telstra says the more money customers spend, the more value they will get, and their new prepaid mobile plans will cater for everyone.
Telstra says, 'Our latest prepaid offers have something for everyone. So whether you like to talk, text, browse the mobile internet, or enjoy a longer credit expiry - there's an offer to suit your needs. You simply choose the offer that best suits you and recharge the required minimum amount for the offer or more. You can get great included benefits like:
• BONUS voice minutes & BONUS text to most Australian numbers
• 1c text to most Telstra mobiles from Australia, BONUS text to most Australian numbers and BONUS data to browse the mobile internet in Australia
• BONUS voice minutes to most Telstra mobiles from Australia
• Longer credit expiry periods.’
Telstra prepaid mobile phone data packs still trail behind those of Virgin Mobile, which offer 50MB for $5 and 300MB for $10. Vodafone internet data packs involve purchasing data on a month-to-month contact or on a 12 month contract, and they are highly competitive.
Furthermore, Vodafone also has some very competitive data packs:
• $4.95 buys 50MB (month-to-month) and 100MB (12 months)
• $9.95 buys 250MB (month-to-month) and 500MB (12 months)
• $19.95 buys 1GB (month-to-month) and 2GB (12 months)
• $39.95 buys 3GB (month-to-month) and 6GB (12 months)
