A simple flip phone, the Nokia 2760 is brilliantly basic, providing excellent controls and a number of features in a stylish and sturdy handset.
The Nokia 2760 comes in a range of colours, including a warm brown and even warmer red. These colours help distinguish the handset from other basic models, but won't be to everyone's tastes. This Nokia does feel great in your hands though, with smooth edges and stylish curves. It also feels very sturdy, something that you cannot say about all flip phones.
The keypad and other controls of the 2760 are great to use; simple, well set out and with excellent tactility. The keypad is especially well thought out, and has big buttons that are satisfyingly bumpy to press. The remainder of the controls are a five-way navigational pad, two call related buttons and two more selection keys. These provide simple and natural navigation through the user interface. The Nokia 2760 user interface, by the way, is also very easy to use. The display is colourful and bright, and the black and blue external screen tells you who is calling when your phone is ringing, and the time when your phone is not.
The feature list of the Nokia 2760 isn't as long as many other more complicated phones on the market, but there is certainly enough to keep you entertained and in touch with the world. There is Bluetooth capability, and an FM radio which can be accessed by simply holding down the asterisk key. Nokia has included a speakerphone on this handset, which provides good sound quality. There is also a VGA camera that doubles as a video recorder and a bunch of PIM features including converter, calculator, spreadsheets, calendar and a timer.
